‍Hey Jacob, I really like how you answered Week 1, very honest and true indeed. Just remember that wiki space was supposed to be due today but Mrs.Tyrell was kind enough to give people an extension until Friday. Krista

Week 1
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

The best advice I have ever received is to do what makes me happy, because if I do things that I don't like then I shouldn't have to do it, it is more important to be happy doing what we want to do than to be miserable doing things other people want me to do. also that I should do my work as well as I can because even though I don't want to do it I still need and want to get a good future after school and have a career, also to not distract others as it may also affect their learning and may cause them to be uneducated after school. If I do not go to well in school then I may not get a career and I don't want to end up like that. My mum told me this every year and now I am trying to accomplish this. My mum also told me that I shouldn't hang around with people that misbehave and that they will get me in to all types of trouble, she told me last year when I got a whole lot of trouble because I hung around with kids that got expelled. She also said that she wants me to go well at school but stay the same personality that I am. Because she knows I would be unhappy as a nerd.

Week 2
What would happen if you threw a piece of trash on the ground? What if everyone did?

Then there would be a piece of trash on the ground and when everyone through one then it would make the earth dirty and everyone should feel guilty regardless of whether they do or not they have something to feel bad about, I don't understand why people just do not put stuff in the bin. Littering is only doing bad things for no apparent reason. Littering is useless and it is bad for the environment. There are a lot of bins as an alternative to getting rid of your rubbish. I personally don't litter because I don't want to get in trouble while I'm at school, and when I'm at home I don't litter because it's my house and I respect my house. But on the streets I don't litter because it makes the place look dirty and if someone sees me litter ill look really dirty and I'm not that type of person. In the future the world will be a dirty place and I would not like that to happen just for the sake of walking a few steps and putting some rubbish in the bin, it is not worth ruining the future environment just because you want to litter. It may also kill some animals by the near future.

Week 3
What would you do if you saw a friend cheating - report it, confront the friend or nothing - and why?
What do you think courage means?
What do you think makes a good friend?
If I saw a friend cheating I would wait until that friend pissed me off and then I would tell the person they're cheating on. If they piss me off bad I'll post it on face book so everyone can see. Courage is a value or a quality that a person can have whether they fight for their country, fight for those they love, or just risk their own life to save someone else's. But it isn't a rare quality but there are people who aren't courageous. Courage and bravery are qualities that are looked high upon, someone who is courageous may be great policemen or be soldiers. It takes a lot of courage to do things that scares you just because you have to or because you want to. A courageous person puts their fears behind them. A good friend is someone who you can relate with, and that shares the same sense of humour and likes and dislikes. A good example for me is my friend Nathan he has a strange sense of humour but it matches mine, we make each other laugh and we can also be serious while talking personal things together. That's a good friend.

Week 4
What is your most indispensable possession and why?

My friends and family are my most indispensable possessions and that is because without friends I would not want to go to school and wouldn't have fun and without my family I wouldn't feel right about living, my parents happiness means a lot to me as it kills me to see them upset. I might not seem like the type of person who has feelings but I have strong feelings when it comes to seeing people I love cry or upset or even happy. My friends are great I couldn't go to school without them. I mean could you imagine school with no friends, sure there would be less getting in trouble and less distractions for paving the way to your future, but without friends my life would be so boring I wouldn't even care about work or school. vie come too far to lose all my friends now, I would miss them, but before someone gets friends like a baby, if they are homeschooled then they are missing the point of enjoying school. If you are talking about possessions that are not spiritual then I would have to say my computer is my most indispensable possession, simply because everyone needs a computer sometimes.

Week 5
What do you think about people polluting the environment?
I think people who pollute the environment do not have a strong enough reason to do so. I believe the only good excuse for doing this is if all the animals and plants came to life and started killing all the humans and using us as slaves. But I do not see that happening any time soon so until that happens I do not think there is a valid reason to destroy the environment. I am not a hippy or a tree hugger for liking the rainforests in our world or liking animals, I do not want to see our wonderful environment to be destroyed for no valid reason. Actually I do not want to see it be destroyed for any reason. I love animals so I do not want to see them be killed by pollution. I love fish and the thought of the fact that they live under water and live in distinct packs makes me curious. I like fish and they are the creatures that die the most from pollution. I know that they are not endangered but they still lose more numbers than other species. Oil pollution is a big one as it kills fish and kills birds because birds eat fish, so when they eat oil filled fish, they die. I just don't think it is even worth it.
Week 6
How do you feel when you do something wrong?
How do you feel when you do something that is very good?

I feel quite terrible when I do something wrong, well not really more just feel a bit guilty like littering I feel guilty if I litter, and when I do other things that could get me in trouble. When I get referred I hate the feeling, because I don't get referred on purpose it makes me surprised and disappointed. This year I have been referred 3 times, they were all accidents that could have easily been avoided. Last year I got referred about 20 something times in the second semester. It felt bad when I told my mum. Because she doesn't pay thousands just for me to go and spend a day in time out are just embarrassing and a waste of money. But I promised her I would change that this year and I have done all right. The 3 reasons I got referred are: drawing a penis on the cup, wearing wrong uniform, sticking my finger up at Daniel. They aren't as bad as a disrespectful reason. They are all bad but the sports uniform one I wasn't informed about that and apparently it was written on the whiteboard but I don't just randomly read the board. But the other two are my fault. I felt bad about doing the wrong. When something I feel very impressed, like with my memories folio I put effort into that and it paid off, so that felt good.
Week 7
I wish there was a law that said... This would be a good law because...

I wish there was a law that made it illegal to swear in public places, because it gives out bad reputations. I'm not saying I don't swear, but I don't in public. I have 2 step siblings and they are young so if they hear something they go through phases where they repeat it, so if we're out in public and someone is swearing with kids around then the kids might get that word stuck in their heads, about 2 months ago the step siblings went through a phase where they kept saying "shit", they are 5 and 7 and they swear like teenagers. I know it isn't caused by me because I watch my language in public and in front of little kids and adults, because with adults it is manners and with kids it can wreck their vocabulary. I mean it just does not sound right when a child says a curse word, and if kid's start swearing at younger ages then in the next generation or maybe the one after, children will swear at prep and probably will not even be told off for it, because it is what everyone else does. I think it is somewhat caused by people that do not care about others swearing in public.

Week 8
When you are angry, how do you look? When are you happiest? When have you felt lonely? When do you feel proud?

I get angry quite often and I don't like being angry, but I guess I look like I'm not happy. I am the happiest when there are no problems in life like when my parents are happy my friends are happy, when your favourite sport team is winning a lot. When all that stuff happens it makes me happy. But it is rare because of how many bad things happen to people and the simple fact that when you are having family issues, to know you are not alone as everyone has family issues no matter how much they show it. Every family has problems whether it is divorce, general arguments, massive fights, step families. Everyone experiences family issues so don't act like you are the only one people. I have felt lonely last year when I refused to hang out and be like the other kids in my class because they liked hurting each other and insulting people, so I was picked on for being a nerd just because I did not want to hurt people. Disappointingly enough I ended up hanging out with them as I felt lonely when I did not want to. I feel proud when I hand in a piece of work that I pour a lot of effort into.
Week 9
Which quality do you dislike most about yourself - laziness, selfishness, childishness - and why?

I don't like the quality about myself that I get angry very easily and sometimes yell at my family and get angry over very little things. I also don't like the way I care about others feelings about an hour after I upset them it kills me when I finally realise what I have just done to someone. I hate when my mum cries because I see her more than my dad and I know she is a strong women and it takes a lot for her to cry and it just makes me so sad to know that she is that upset. I am not an easy person to make cry, but when I see my family is upset then I get upset. But other than that all that makes me cry is the end of Marley and me and the end of click. With click I cry because I have a thing I do about saying I love you to my parents every time I go out somewhere and it's just so if something happens the last thing I said to them would be a good thing. And in the movie the last words he says to his dad are a negative thing and then his dad dies.
Week 10
Why do you think prejudice exists in the world? ‍

Though I just learnt what prejudice is I now know that it means 'pre judge' or to judge something before you see it like saying you don't like a type of food before you try it or if you say white people can't play basketball when actually there are a few good white basketball players. I think prejudice exists in this world because there are a lot of stereo types of races or genders that get over-exaggerated. I myself realise I am prejudice sometimes, with weird things. Like I always say I hate spinach but I haven't tried it. I got brainwashed by stereo types to believe that girls suck at sports when actually there are some girls that are a lot better at sports than men. Things like all Asians are smart. well I think that is true when they are in this country but some of the poor disadvantaged Asians that don't go to school aren't smart, we only think that because in Australia, America wherever it is the Asians are smart because they can afford education and Asians generally work a lot harder than others. I think prejudice is around because of stereotypes that get believed too easily.
